Stockpiling For Winter – How To Survive If The Electricity Goes Out

President Vladimir Putin gave an address to the Russian Parliament stating that Russia is more than capable of becoming completely food independent by the year 2020, also noting that the country was able to make almost $20 billion in revenue from their food exports back in 2014.
President Putin’s goal is to be able to supply the whole world with healthy non-GMO, organic food. In his address, he went on to say that,
“We are not only able to feed ourselves taking into account our lands, water resources – Russia is able to become the largest world supplier of healthy, ecologically clean and high-quality food which the Western producers have long lost, especially given the fact that demand for such products in the world market is steadily growing.”
The Russian administration made the decision back in September 2015 to completely stop the use of all GMO in their country.
Putin is solid about the value of being able to export healthy food by saying that,
“Ten years ago, we imported almost half of the food from abroad and were dependent on imports. Now Russia is among the exporters. Last year, Russian exports of agricultural products amounted to almost $20 billion – a quarter more than the revenue from the sale of arms, or one-third the revenue coming from gas exports.”
The modern world hasn’t had the best views of Russia in the past, but it seems that Putin is determined to help this world change, even if he has to do it himself. Our modern society has fallen away from striving for healthy food. Or making it so inconveniently expensive that some of us feel it’s easier on our budgets to just eat unhealthy, due to it being so hard for organic farmers to gain a foothold and be able to sell cheap organic food.
Most of our food in the world is riddled with GMO’s and it is a breath of fresh air to see that Putin is so headstrong about not only supplying his people with healthy food but the entire world
